Smart Cities hold the promise of making our urban environment more liveable and our urban infrastructure more efficient. Although diverse streams of big data are now available from sensors, mobiles and social networks, how do we extract useful knowledge that really makes a difference in practice? This forum heard the possibilities, and desirables, from The University of Melbourne’s top researchers in the area, and experts from industry and the City of Melbourne.
