Peter and Jill Lloyd founded Setec almost 50 years ago, and this scholarship honours Peter and his contributions to the company. Jill and Peter, as well as their daughter Louise (CEO of Setec) were at the morning tea to present the inaugural award to scholarship recipient Martin Thompson.
The SETEC Peter Lloyd Scholarship has been established in perpetuity and is awarded to Australian citizens or permanent residents entering their final year of the Master of Engineering (Electrical). The scholarship criteria was financial need and academic performance, and took into account a personal statement provided by the applicants.
Setec is a proudly Australian family owned and operated business with over 90 valued employees. Today, Setec manufactures innovative power solutions for a wide range of sectors including gaming, medical and RV industries.
